Ivan Baranov. Who among other things, was a French Foreign Legion Soldier, Butcher, Air France Chef and Chief Custodian. What an interesting life he led. But first and foremost, he was an artist. Thanks dad, for giving me my first set of jewelry making tools and all of those copper blanks! Ivan passed on March 5th.

Maureen, I am so sorry. I lost my mom January 20. The good memories are beginning to edge out my memories of her last couple years being sick. How great that we have photos, right? Best wishes to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed, my mom was the same age as your dad! Her birthday was just last week, so she didn't quite make it to 85. Her mom lived to be 98 and her grandmother 99. We really thought she'd be 100!
